DANIEL A. SHABEL
Dan joined Tristate in the Spring of 2025 as a principal. He is a seasoned Real Estate Executive with over 20+ years of experience, specializing in conceptualizing development and redevelopment plans, underwriting investments, obtaining entitlements and leasing complex projects/transactions. Dan possesses a proven track record in leasing transactions with national and local retailers, as well as office tenants. Throughout his career, he has developed skills in master planning projects, forming and managing professional teams, obtaining entitlements, and project/construction management. He is especially proficient in retail, mixed use, and self-storage development and has completed over 200 leasing transactions as a landlord’s representative, real estate broker and attorney.
Prior to joining Tristate, Dan worked for eight years with MCB Real Estate in several capacities such as Vice President of Development, Leasing and Asset Management for eight years focused on the redevelopment of retail and mixed-use properties. In the last two years at MCB, Dan ran MCB’s self-storage development platform. During Dan’s tenure, he developed/redeveloped over $300MM in assets for MCB and completed over 50 leasing transactions. Dan has also worked for various other developers such as the Penn Real Estate Group and Retail Sites and was a Senior Director at Fameco Real Estate as a retail broker prior to Fameco being purchased by CBRE. Dan has been admitted to the NJ, PA and NY bars. He graduated from Rutgers University School of Law – Camden and Brandeis University with Honors.
